Brian R. Kahn
Mr. Kahn is the Managing Partner and founder of Vintage Capital Management (“VCM”) and its predecessor, Kahn Capital Management (“KCM” or the “Firm”), and is responsible for all aspects of transaction sourcing, due diligence, and execution.
Since establishing the Firm in 1998, Mr. Kahn has invested in and served in high-level operating and governance positions for several public and private companies in the defense, manufacturing, and consumers industries. Mr. Kahn is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of White Electronic Designs Corporation and API Technologies Corp. Additionally, he served as director of Integral Systems, Inc. and Aarons Inc. Mr. Kahn is currently a director of Buddy’s Newco LLC (d/b/a Buddy’s Home Furnishings), Good to Go Wheels and Tires, and Flexi Compras. Andrew M. Laurence
Mr. Laurence joined the Firm in 2009 and is responsible for all aspects of transaction sourcing, due diligence and execution. Mr. Laurence currently serves on the Board of Directors of Energes Services and IEC Electronics (NASDAQ: IEC), where he is also on the audit committee.
Mr. Laurence was previously a Partner at Coral Reef Capital Partners, a merchant banking firm making control and structured equity investments in U.S. lower-middle market companies and providing strategic mergers and acquisition and capital raising advisory services. Prior to Coral Reef, Mr. Laurence was the Managing Partner of Causeway Partners, a Boston-based private equity group making control and structured equity investments in U.S. lower-middle market companies. Prior to Causeway Partners, Mr. Laurence spent seven years at Triumph Capital and its successor, Washington & Congress Managers. Mr. Laurence began his career at Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co., a boutique mergers and acquisitions advisory firm purchased by First Union Corp. Matthew E. Avril served until recently as President, Hotel Group for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and is responsible for hotel operations worldwide for Starwood’s nine hotel brands, consisting of 960 properties in more than 97 countries.
Mr. Avril also oversees Starwood’s global sales organization. Mr. Avril has over 20 years experience in the hospitality and vacation ownership industry, serving most recently as President and Managing Director of Operations for Starwood Vacation Ownership (SVO), a division of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide from 2002 to 2008. There, he oversaw Sales and Marketing, Resort Operations, Finance, Legal Affairs, Homeowner Association Management and Human Resources functions. Oncore Manufacturing Services, LLC
Mr. Butler has over 30 years of manufacturing industry experience. From May 2007 to the present, Mr. Butler has served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Oncore Manufacturing Services LLC (“Oncore”), an electronics manufacturing company serving defense, medical and industrial markets.
In 1979, Mr. Butler founded Verified Technical Corporation, a manufacturer of high quality Through Hole and Surface Mount Technology assemblies, and served as its President until 1997, when he sold Veritek to REMEC, Inc. (“Remec”). From 1997 to July 2005, Mr. Butler served as the President of Remec’s Global Electronic Manufacturing Services (“EMS”) division and in 2005, Mr. Butler repurchased the San Diego based EMS division from REMEC and renamed it Veritek Manufacturing Services (“Veritek Manufacturing”), a company designed to provide turnkey manufacturing solutions to customers in the western United States. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Butler acquired two additional manufacturing sites and merged Veritek Manufacturing with Nu Visions Manufacturing, LLC to form OnCore.Read Bio

Mel Keating has experience in various executive, advisory and Board roles for both public and private companies, most recently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Semiconductor Corp., a worldwide manufacturer and seller of semiconductors.
Previously, he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Quovadx Inc., a healthcare software company. He is currently a director of Infologix Corp. and is also on the Advisory Board of BTI Systems Inc. Additional prior directorships include: Price Legacy Corp, LCC International Inc., Integrated Silicon Solutions Inc., Tower Semiconductor, Plymouth Rubber Company, and Kitty Hawk, Inc. William K. (Ken) Butler has served as the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of ATL Leasing Inc., where he manages over 70 Buddy’s Home Furnishings rent-to-own stores in the Southeast, since September 2015.
He has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Pro Carts, Inc. (d/b/a All Pro Carts), a family owned and operated golf cart sales, service and rental business, since September 2013. Prior to that, Mr. Butler held various leadership positions with Aaron’s, Inc. (NYSE:AAN) (“Aaron’s”), a leading omnichannel provider of lease-purchase solutions, from 1974 to May 2013, where he also served as a director from 2000 until May 2013. Mr. Butler’s most recent executive positions with Aaron’s include serving as its Chief Operating Officer from 2008 to May 2013 and President of its Sales & Lease Ownership Division from 1995 to 2008, a division he served as Vice President of from 1986 to 1995. Mr. Butler previously served as a director of The McPherson Family Trust (d/b/a RE/MAX of Kentucky/Tennessee, Inc., RE/MAX of Georgia, Inc. and RE/MAX of Southern Ohio, Inc.) from 2002 until its sale in December 2016. Michael Bennett brings 24 years of experience in the Rent-to-Own (“RTO”) industry encompassing both franchise and corporate operations.
He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Operations for Buddy’s Newco, LLC (dba Buddy’s Home Furnishings. Prior to joining Buddy’s, he was Regional Director for Acceptance Now, a division of Rent a Center, in Plano Texas from May to October 2015. Mr. Bennett served as Vice President of Great Lakes Operations at Aaron’s Inc., a leading omnichannel provider of lease-purchase solutions, from April 2009 to March 2014. He served on Aaron’s National Advertising Advisory and Strategic Budgeting Committees. He served on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Rental Dealers Association from 2012 to 2014. Previously, he served as Director of Operations and minority equity partner of Rosey Rentals LP (dba Aaron’s) from August 2005 to March 2009 before Rosey sold to Aaron’s. Mr. Bennett previously worked at RentWay Inc. from September 2003 to July 2005 and served as both a Divisional Vice President and Regional Manager. He began his career in the RTO industry at Rent A Center in August 1993 where he worked as a General Manager until August 1996 and then a Regional Manager until August of 2003. Mr. Bennett also served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Rental Dealers Association from 2000 to 2003.
